Our Parents

Parents are children’s first and most enduring educators. When parents and practitioners work together in early years settings, the results have a positive impact on children’s development and learning. (DCSF, 2008)

At Amberley we work closely with parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for all children.

Patrick Easen describes the practitioner as having a public and generalised theory about child development and the parent having a personal theory about the development of their child. The interaction between the two enriches the understanding of the child.           (Easen, 1992)
